Rav Baruch Simon gave a sichas mussar earlier tonight before maariv. Needless to say it was awesome. Just a couple of points he said towards the end:
The was a story with the Brisker Rav where he wanted someone to get something for him, but the guy thought he wouldn't be able to... long story short, the Brisker said (I think this was the quote) "זאקט נישט איך קיין נישט, זאקט איך וויל נישט" - "Don't say 'I can't', say 'I won't'."
Also, on the pasuk about a lazy person excusing himself because of "the lion on the road," Rav Mottel Zilber asks, why is he lazy? If there is a lion, so he has an excuse. If there us no lion, so he is a liar, not necessarily lazy. Rather, there is a lion, but it doesn't matter. When you want to do something, you can always find a way, even with great obstacles.
